WE’RE HIRING!

There is a lot happening at Parks Veterinary and it takes a sizeable team with diverse skills to make it all go.  Our team includes veterinarians, licensed veterinary technicians, and veterinary assistants to provide medical care.  We also have groomers, lodging staff, and trainers providing our ancillary services.  To keep it all running smoothly, we also have a team of receptionists and administrative personnel.  In addition to the year-round staff, we also have seasonal positions in lodging during the summer and internship possibilities for students pursuing DVM or LVT credentials.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

Veterinary Assistant

We are looking for a veterinary assistant. The primary duties include restraining patients during exams, cleaning exam rooms, gathering necessary supplies and equipment, and caring for patients during their time in the hospital.  This is a full time position requiring good communication skills, attention to detail, and an ability to work well in a team.  For those with interest and aptitude, there is advancement to assisting in pharmacy, laboratory, surgery, and advanced hospital care through on the job training.  A high school diploma is an educational requirement.

Licensed Veterinary Technician

This is a full-time position with competitive benefits.  Weekday hours, rotating Saturday coverage, and rotating on-call coverage are necessary aspects of the schedule.  Our technicians are used to the full extent of their license to include gathering lab samples, performing lab tests, anesthesia, dental procedures, and hospital care.  They work closely with the doctors, clients, and other team members.

The ideal candidate will have a license to practice as a veterinary technician in Nebraska and will enjoy a team environment.  A proven ability to manage several cases at a time through the day and triage well is important.  Good verbal communication skills on the phone and in person are essential.  Attention to detail and disciplined written documentation habits are also important.  Curiosity and a desire to keep learning and growing as a professional is highly valued.  Relocation assistance is available for candidates not residing in central Nebraska.

Veterinarian

We are currently seeking additional veterinarians to join our medical staff.  Due to our high case load, there are numerous areas of interest in which you can grow and options to schedule full-time, part-time, or emergency shift schedules.  Please contact us if you are motivated to practice medicine to a high professional standard, as part of a collaborative team, in a modern, well equipped facility.
