Meet our Amazing Team

Veterinarians

Dr. Mark Hughes
Dr. Mark HughesVeterinarian/Owner
Dr. Hughes opened Stolley Park Veterinary Hospital (now Parks Veterinary) in 1993, and has spent the last 30 years building the practice into what it is today. In addition to running a successful veterinary clinic, he and his wife Darcy raised 3 daughters and now have five lovely granddaughters. He enjoys many aspects of being a veterinarian, including the people he works with, his clients, and the variety of animals he gets to see.
Dr. Donovan Hauser
Dr. Donovan HauserVeterinarian/Owner
Dr. Hauser joined Stolley Park/Parks Veterinary in 2010, and became an owner in 2015. He and his wife Rachel, along with their 7 children, are very active in sports and church activities. Their household has a variety of pets, including rabbits, dogs, cats, fish, and turtles! Dr. Hauser loves being a general practice veterinarian because he gets to work in a variety of areas of health care including preventative medicine, internal medicine, surgery, and cardiology.
Dr. Robin Wilcox-Morris
Dr. Robin Wilcox-Morris Veterinarian
Dr. Wilcox-Morris has been a veterinarian with Stolley Park/Parks Veterinary since 2007. She and her husband Jeff have two very active boys, Shawn and Owen. The many activities that her sons are involved in have become Dr. Wilcox’s hobby! She also enjoys scrapbooking and swimming. The family is joined by 5 cats – Ryder, Gus, Newt, Millie, and Doc. Dr. Wilcox loves working with her coworkers, clients, and patients, and says that Parks is a place where we manage to make even a difficult day fun.
Dr. Jennifer McCartney
Dr. Jennifer McCartneyVeterinarian
Dr. McCartney became a part of the Stolley Park/Parks Veterinary team in 2015. She and her husband Bryan have two sons named Dillon and Nathan. The family is joined by a dog named Buttercup, Pickles the cat, along with a few fish. Although keeping up with her kids’ activities (Scouts, soccer, baseball) has become one of her hobbies, Dr. McCartney also enjoys reading, scrapbooking, and being active in her church. She loves working at Parks because every day is a new day, with new challenges and pets to see.
Dr. Kayla Bittner
Dr. Kayla BittnerAssociate Veterinarian
Dr. Bittner has been a veterinarian at Stolley Park/Parks Veterinary since 2017. She enjoys spending time with her husband Curt and daughters Brenna and Ella; the family has a dog named Sadie and a giant breed cat named Oliver. Dr. Bittner likes to golf with her husband, and she also likes to jog and read – when she has time! She loves the team that she gets to work with at Parks, and helping people make the best decisions for their pets is one of her favorite parts about being a veterinarian.
Dr. Kyla Dukat
Dr. Kyla DukatVeterinarian
Dr. Dukat joined Parks Veterinary in June 2023 after graduation from Iowa State University. Her husband’s name is Nic, and she has a stepson named Rory. The family also has miniature Australian Shepherd named Eleanore that goes everywhere with them. Dr. Dukat loves to do anything involving competition, such as playing sports, cards, yard games, and Nintendo 64. What she loves about working at Parks so far is meeting clients and their pets!

Veterinary Technicians

Katie
KatieLead Veterinary Technician
Katie has been with Stolley Park/Parks Veterinary since 2014. She and her husband Clint have two kids, Raegan and Clayton. The family likes being outdoors, and their hobbies include fishing, camping, and hunting. Katie also has 3 dogs – a Collie mix named Tess, a Golden Retriever named Ty, and a Heeler mix named Tripp – as well as a cat named Meow Meow. When asked what she loves about working at Parks, she said “the people I work with!”
Michelle
MichelleVeterinary Technician
Michelle has been a licensed Veterinary Technician at Stolley Park/Parks Veterinary since 2016. She has been married to her husband Travis since 2018, and they have 2 beautiful little girls named Julieann & Evelyn. In her free time, Michelle loves being active through dance, kayaking, paddle-boarding, aerial yoga, bike riding, or even just walking. Her family has 12 pets! They include 2 Aussies, Elaine & Rory; 2 cats, Steven & Ollie; a crested gecko, Leopold; 3 ball pythons, Vanessa, Cornelius, & Vincent; 2 corn snakes, Natalie & Jeremy; and 2 guinea pigs, Waffles & Cookie. Michelle’s favorite part about working here at Parks is that we care about each other like a family. She also likes that we do our utmost to care for our patients as well as their families. Michelle says that it is great being in a clinic that utilizes her to her fullest potential.
Krista
KristaVeterinary Technician
Krista joined the Parks Veterinary team as a licensed Veterinary Technician in 2022. She and her husband Andy have two cats named October and Mikey, and in their free time they like to play board games. Krista also likes to crochet. When asked about her favorite part about working at Parks, she said that she loves that we are always innovating and striving to provide the best medicine possible for our patients.
Sheila
SheilaVeterinary Technician
Sheila was a welcome addition to our team of licensed Veterinary Technicians in 2020. She has 4 Border Collies – Annie, Duke, Blaze, and Poppy, that she has trained to be working dogs. Sheila and her fiancé Riley have a total of 7 dogs (Riley’s dogs Oakley, a Border Collie, a Dachshund named Charlie, and King, a Livestock Guardian puppy, join Sheila’s 3 dogs). They also have 4 cats, 9 sheep, and 3 horses. Sheila and Riley do lots of farming/ranching activities, and Sheila also enjoys training basic obedience and stock dogs for competition. Spending time with her many nieces and nephews is also something Sheila loves. Her favorite things about working at Parks include her team and the top quality of care that we provide. She loves how busy we are, the number of patients we help, and taking care of emergencies and referral visits. Sheila says she loves working alongside some of the best techs, vets, assistants, and support staff!
Camryn
CamrynVeterinary Technician
We welcomed Camryn to our Veterinary Technician team in September of 2021. She and her fiancée Cole enjoy golfing, traveling, and camping. Camryn has a Corgi named Rosie and a Border Collie named Rein. Our clients, the care we provide, the busy environment, and her coworkers are among the many things she enjoys about working at Parks.
Jocilynn
JocilynnVeterinary Technician
Jocilynn joined our team in 2023; she has a degree in Animal Science and attended Northeast Community College to become a Veterinary Technician. She and her husband Dalton have 2 cats named Beans & Pita and 2 dogs named Abby & Nell. They also have 3 horses. Jocilynn likes to ride horses as well as compete with them in shows; she also enjoys reading and camping. Jocilynn says her coworkers create a fun and supportive environment, which is something she loves about Parks.

Veterinary Assistants

Katrina
KatrinaCo-Lead Veterinary Assistant
Katrina joined the Parks Veterinary team in 2021. She has 2 dogs, Jaxx and Ash, as well as a cat named Jedi. Katrina likes playing video games, reading, and cooking; she also loves to hike and ride her motorcycle. Her favorite parts about working at Parks are the opportunity to learn every day, and knowing when she goes home that she helped keep a pet healthy that day.
Kayla
KaylaCo-Lead Veterinary Assistant
Kayla was welcomed to Parks Veterinary in 2021. She is married to her childhood best friend and has 4 children – 2 of which are twins! The family has 3 dogs – Harley, a Husky mix, and two Huskies named Loki and Akira. Kayla and her family enjoy riding motorcycles, camping, traveling, and watching movies. Kayla’s favorite part of her job is making the vet visit less scary for pets by helping them to feel comfortable and safe. She also likes being able to reassure owners that their pets are in great hands.
Alyssa
AlyssaInventory Manager
Alyssa has been with Stolley Park/Parks Veterinary since 2013. She was a Veterinary Assistant, then Lead Veterinary Assistant, and is now our awesome Inventory Manager! Alyssa and her husband Zach love bike riding, kayaking and paddleboarding. They have a dog, Delilah, and 3 cats named Chelsea, Orange Juice, and Billy. Alyssa says that she loves advocating for animals when they can’t advocate for themselves – being able to do that is what she loves about working at Parks.
Sydney
SydneyVeterinary Assistant
Sydney joined our team of Veterinary Assistants in early 2022. She has 3 dogs named Leo, Finn, and Pepper; she also has a cat named Binx. Sydney has 2 children, and she enjoys gardening and going to the lake. The parts Sydney loves most about her job are all the new things she gets to learn, as well as the opportunity to help animals.
Lexi S.
Lexi S.Veterinary Assistant
Lexi has been a Veterinary Assistant at Parks Veterinary since the summer of 2020. Lexi’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, and swimming. She loves spending as much time as possible with her family, especially her nieces Hadleigh, Mia, and Scarlett. Lexi also spends time helping her brother build his own family farm. When asked what she loves about working at Parks, she said the life-long friends she is making, as well as getting to know that we are helping pets each and every day.
Darci
DarciVeterinary Assistant
Darci was a great addition to our team in 2022. She loves spending time outside with any of her animals. Her 5 dogs – Koda, Nita, Kata, Keni, and Eve – share Darci’s attention with her cat Nova. Darci raises sheep, goats, and cattle; she also trains horses and her own cattle dogs, and spends time working on her family farm. When asked what she loves about working at Parks, Darci said the people make it fun to work here!
Alyssa
AlyssaVeterinary Assistant/Lodging Team
Alyssa joined our team in the Summer of 2023; her dual role has allowed her to be helpful in multiple areas! She is originally from Lyndon, KS – but moved to Nebraska and bought a house that she and her boyfriend are renovating. Alyssa has a miniature Australian Shepherd named Dolly Mae, her hobbies include training horses and dogs. Her favorite part about working at Parks is meeting so many different dog breeds.
Spencer
SpencerVeterinary Assistant
Spencer joined us in December 2023, and has been a great addition to our Parks team! He likes golfing and being outdoors. Spencer enjoys being able to come to work and be around animals, and he loves getting to help them each day.

Groomers

Sherry
SherryGroomer
Sherry has been with Stolley Park/Parks Veterinary since 2004. She started as a Veterinary Technician, and she has been a groomer for the last several years. Sherry has 2 pugs, Morgan and Roxie, an Aussie named Ridge, as well as several farm cats and cattle. Sherry and her husband are enjoying a busy life with their two boys who are involved in a lot of activities. When the family has a free weekend, they love to go camping. Sherry loves getting to spend her days caring for dogs – she says she has a very rewarding career! She also said that one of the things she loves about working at Parks is that clients really appreciate not only what she does, but also the opportunity they have for all their pet care needs to be taken care of at one time.
Erica
EricaGroomer, Dog Trainer
Erica has been a part of Stolley Park/Parks Veterinary for her entire life, and has been on our grooming team since 2019. She loves spending time with her family and friends, as well as her dog Mowgli. She also enjoys playing sports and doing yard work. Erica likes working at Parks because it’s always fun seeing all types of animals. Plus, she says, who doesn’t enjoy some good puppy love?
Lisa
LisaGroomer
Lisa has been with us at Stolley Park/Parks Veterinary since 2007. She has been married to her husband Paul for over 36 years, and they have two grown children. When she is not at Parks, Lisa takes care of her house and is also the groundskeeper of the family’s acreage. She loves to work with yarn and fabric. Lisa has 3 cats named Tippy, Nigel, and Archie, as well as a few outside farm cats. What she loves about Parks is that we work hard to provide great client care – whether that means giving the best medical service or getting the hairstyle just right for a grooming pet.

Receptionists

Ashley
AshleyReceptionist/Lobby Manager
Ashley has been a receptionist at Parks Veterinary since 2020, and has since taken on the added role of Lobby Manager. She enjoys spending time with Jade, her black Lab, and has also “adopted” a lot of furry friends (and their humans) while working here at Parks. Ashley loves spending time outside. She went to college for Animal Science with a focus in livestock, so she loves all animals – large and small! Working at Parks, she loves building relationships with all the pets and their owners, and making them feel comfortable here.
Megan
MeganLead Receptionist
Megan has been an integral part of our Parks Veterinary team since 2017. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, helping on the family’s farm, gardening, and taking care of her menagerie, which consists of 19 pets! Megan has a dog named Callie, 2 cats named Tex & Folsom, and 2 donkeys named Beau & Murray. She adores her goats – Clarence, Harley, Alfie, and Reuben, and she also has chickens named Buffy, Louise, and Ora Gold, along with 7 “nameless counterparts” (also chickens). Megan very much enjoys taking care of our clients and their 4-legged family members.
Kaylee
KayleeReceptionist
Kaylee has been with us since 2022. She loves to travel and has been to Costa Rica, Mexico, Ireland, and England, as well as numerous U.S. states. Her Beagle-mix is named Gemma, and she has a tabby cat named Delilah. Kaylee loves that every animal that comes in has a different story – and she loves getting to know them all. A favorite part of her job is that she gets to do and learn something new every day.
Loree
LoreeReceptionist
We welcomed Loree to our receptionist team in January 2024. Loree was born and raised in Arizona, and she has a cattle dog named PJ and a cat named Kocoum. She also has 3 sheep – Daisy, Sue, and Bella. Loree moved to Nebraska in 2023 and has since picked up crochet as a hobby. She loves the medicine that we practice at Parks, and the care that we give both clients and pets. She started as a client before joining our team and says she was inspired by the care that she received.

Lodging

Lucy
LucyLodging Receptionist, Dog Trainer
Lucy has been on the Parks team since 2013, and has been training dogs for even longer. She has several pets, including dogs, cats, horses, and goats. She has been married to her husband Michael since 1975 – they have two sons named Ryan & Sean, and three grandchildren. Aside from spending time with her family, Lucy loves to read; she also spends a lot of time teaching puppy, obedience, and therapy dog training classes. What she loves about working at Parks is being able to give the clients and their furry family a great experience. She also likes knowing that our training classes help pups become better family members and better canine citizens.
Amber
AmberLodging Lead
Amber has been working at Parks since 2020, and is now our Lodging Lead. She loves being around animals all day, and she enjoys getting to know all of our lodging guests. Amber has a cat named Emmy, and when she is not working, she loves to spend time with her friends.
Lachelle
LachelleLodging Receptionist
Lachelle has been a lodging receptionist at Parks Veterinary since May of 2021. She is the only daughter among 6 siblings. She loves spending time with her parents as well as her five brothers and their families; together they enjoy hiking, playing games, and having family cookouts. Lachelle also likes to read and draw. Some of her favorite things about working at Parks include meeting our clients and helping to look after their adorable, lovable pets in lodging.
